Trade Assistant


Ventia’s Trades Assistant position is based in Moranbah working on the Anglo American Accomodation Village and housing. This role is working on a 8 day on, 6 day off  drive in, drive out roster with meals and accommodation provided while on site. The full-time salary for the role is $93,084.92 plus superannuation, annual leave and sick leave is also accrued. Ventia’s Trades Assistants work in a team that is responsible for providing repairs & maintenance to our assets, plant & equipment.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance inspections, testing and repairs under the direction of the supervisor
  • Assist with minor capital works projects as required
  • Assist the trades services team with ad-hoc maintenance & repairs tasks as required
  • Represent Ventia in a professional manner whilst performing quality workmanship
  • Ensuring that services are delivered to the client and Ventia’s satisfaction
  • Compliance with all Ventia SHEQ policies and procedures
  • Assisting other employees in carrying out these responsibilities by support and example

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Drivers Licence 
  • Standard 11
  • White Card
  • Working at heights / Confined spaces
  • Previous experience working in a building maintenance position
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • An understanding and commitment to OH&S, risk management and hazard identification
