SMP/Mechanical Supervisor
About the Contract
Are you an experienced SMP/Mechanical Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity? Ventia, as part of our long-term LNG maintenance contract, is seeking skilled individuals to join our dynamic team. As a SMP/Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading teams across pipefitting, boilermaking, hotworks, and mechanical scope of works during the shutdown.
Your main responsibilities will be to provide field supervision, organisation, and management of labour to ensure that all shutdown maintenance works are delivered safely on schedule and to required quality and client specifications. You will also be required to perform the task of Quality Control on all Structural Mechanical Piping (SMP) works completed.

- Competitive all inclusive $102.12 per/hourly rate

Qualification Requirements:
- Relevant Trade certificate
- RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (3-year validity)
- Enter and work in confined spaces (3-year validity)
- C’ class driver’s license
- Cert 4 Leadership & Management (Highly Regarded)
- Current First Aid Certificate (Highly Regarded)
- High Risk Licenses (Highly Regarded)
Key Skills & Experience:
- Supervisory experience working on Oil & Gas or Mining shutdowns
- Experience with managing multi-discipline trades (Mechanical, Boilermakers, Pipe Fitters etc.)
- Experience managing valve, bolting, hot works and piping scopes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with other divisions and departments both internal and external
- Experience in SAP and work order programs highly regarded
- Ability to follow HSEQ procedures & foster an inclusive site culture
