Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer (Renewables)
Working from anywhere within Australia, with a base at one of Ventia's Offices (Parramatta / North Sydney NSW, Geelong / Cremorne VIC, Adelaide SA, Perth WA, Darwin NT or Brisbane QLD). We are seeking a permanent, full time experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Ventia Engineering Services team. Ventia Engineering's heritage as ICD Asia Pacific means we have more than five decades of experience providing engineering services for some of the country's most significant projects in the oil & gas, resources and infrastructure industries.

About the role:
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the electrical design, project work and carry out Engineering studies including mentoring of the team.
- Diversity of essential contracts – Defence, Oil & Gas, Energy, Resources & Mining, Power, Telecommunications, Infrastructure and Manufacturing.
- Work with our Principal and Lead Engineers to drive project design and support our strong Electrical and Instrument team.
- Use industry leading software and an understanding of first principles and standards to complete power system calculations and modelling.
- Develop and review technical project deliverables.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, clients, internal engineers, and project managers.
Must be eligable to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
About you:
- Electrical Engineering qualifications - Australian Recognised (current RPEQ / CPEng certification, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain these).
- Experience working in renewable energy, transmission or distribution sectors is highly desirable.
- Proficient use of various computer packages including Excel, Access & Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Project Management, Layout drawings – desirable
- Comfortable and familiar with the application of AS/NZS 3000 and other relevant design standards, statutory regulations, and Australian Standards (specific to Lead and Senior positions).
