HV Electrician
The Role
Ventia currently looking to engage a qualified and experienced HV Electrician. In this role you will be responsible for electrical maintenance across a defence base including repairs, planned and reactive maintenance campaigns as well as high-voltage switching programs.
This position is a full-time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 03:30pm (with overtime opportunities and some flexibility) with 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base each day.
The payrate for this position is $41.48 per hour.
To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Key duties, but not limited to:
- Conduct maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, repairs & planned works
- Complete work orders and verify tasks in accordance with requirements
- Report and qualify detected equipment faults to supervisors
- Fault finding activities & reactive maintenance
- Develop & carry out HV switching programmes
- Small Installations, emergency lighting, lamp changes and strip outs
Skills & Experience:
- WA Driver’s License
- Trade Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
- WA Electrical Licence
- Experienced in low voltage, fault-finding and general maintenance
- High Voltage Switching Operations qualification – Highly regarded
- Previous exposure to high voltage installations – Highly regarded
