ESG Reporting Coordinator


About the role
Ventia are seeking an Environment & Social Governance Reporting Coordinator to join our Sustainability group. This Reporting Coordinator position is responsible for sustainability reporting to deliver continuous improvement of Ventia’s suite of internal and external ESG reporting, to demonstrate value creation for stakeholders and strong market positioning.

We’re seeking a Reporting Coordinator who will be the subject matter expert on reporting requirements and demonstrate passionate to keep up to dates with trends and legislative requirements. A fantastic opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide decision-making and be an active voice in shaping the agenda of sustainability. 

This is a Permanent full-time role, offering Hybrid working options and can be located in Melbourne or Sydney. 

Duties:

  • Implement governance & risk processes to ensure robust controls and compliance, including monitoring, analysing and reporting ESG metrics, and coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Compile and analyse key environmental and social metrics from internal and external sources. 
  • Identify opportunity for measurement and transparency uplift, managing fit for purpose platforms, tools and processes within budget, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in reporting requirements and industry best practices.
  • Maintain ESG documentation and basis of assumptions to ensure obligations are met and are available for verification and auditing, ensuring transparency
  • Compile key ESG reports including annual reporting and CDP and other surveys, liaising with internal stakeholders on the suite of reporting, and ensure submission deadlines.

About You

  • Strong understanding of key drivers and market expectations in Sustainability and ESG reporting.
  • Proactively benchmarks relative to peers
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and communicate a clear message aligned to value creation.
  • Minimum 3 years in an ESG reporting / sustainability related role preferably in the infrastructure sector, or consulting.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience of ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
  • Degree qualified in sustainability, geography,  business/economics, or related discipline preferred
  • Excellent relationship management and written communication skills
