Ventia is seeking an experienced Data and Systems Analyst to join their safety, health, environment and quality division (SHEQ). The successful applicant will be responsible for analysing data, developing reports, and managing systems to provide valuable insights and support decision making within the Telecommunications Sector.
In this position you will ensure data accuracy, optimise our reporting processes, and enhance systems functionality to meet business and client needs effectively. Additionally, you will contribute to improving operational efficiencies, identifying trends, and facilitate strategic planning through analytical expertise.
Role outline
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirements and translate those into actionable and visual deliverables
Collaborate with teams across the organisation, including IT, Operations, SHEQ, Commercial, Legal, to ensure alignment of reporting initiatives with broader business objectives
Develop strong relationships with the SHEQ and Project / Operations team to provide ongoing support, information, and guidance on the Telecommunications Management System, project / Sector safe systems of work, safety trends / statistics, data insights, key trends and areas of opportunity / improvement
Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making processes withing the organisation
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data warehouses, and visualisations that communicate key metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation

Skills and Experience
A Bachelor of Information Technology or similar bachelor degree in maths, statistics, information systems or computer science highly regarded
Demonstrated experience in a similar position
Proficiency in analysing large datasets, identifying trends, patterns and insights
Experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as MS Power Bi and Excel
Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes and data modelling techniques
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports, data analysis and systems configuration
