Stores attendant
In collaboration with the Australian Defence Force Ventia is seeking a Stores Attendant to join our Defence Stores North Queensland team at the Defence base in Townsville.
This position is a permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday.
The Stores Attendant is responsible for the storage and distribution of Defence Force requested items within armouries, health centres and general stores. You will work under general supervision, either individually or in a team environment, preforming a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of customer support, warehousing/stores practices and procedures.
Responsibilities

Storing and packing of goods and materials in accordance with procedures

Preparation of documentation including liaison with suppliers

Applying quality control techniques to the work

Checking and maintaining stock quantity, deterioration and shelf-life expiry checks
Experiences & Qualifications
-
Prior demonstrated experience as a store / warehouse attendant

Forklift License preferred (can be obtained once commenced position)

Previous experience with Defence Inventory Systems MILIS highly regarded

Computer literate with Ms Office experience

Exercises good communication and interpersonal skills
Be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and therefore must be an Australian Citizen
