Maintenance Electrician


The Role
Due to continued expansion of work, Ventia are seeking a Maintenance Electrician and assist in handling the planned and reactive maintenance for all Main Roads WA’s electrical assets across WA including street lighting, traffic signals, speed limit signs and more.

This full-time opportunity, based in Jandakot, WA, offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility on start and finish times to suit your requirements.

The pay rate for this position is $45.18 per hour + penalties.

Although our workshop is based at Jandakot, the successful candidate will, when possible, be provided with assignments within proximity to their home location.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to

  • Perform preventative maintenance and maintenance repairs on all Electrical assets across Main Roads Western Australia’s contract
  • Routine Checks and inspections on all Electrical Assets
  • Fault Finding and Diagnosing Root cause analysis
  • Reactive maintenance and emergency response to electrical assets on the roads


Skills and Experience

  • Trade Certificate – Cert III in Electrical or Electrotechnology
  • WA Electrical License – Grade A
  • WA Driver’s License – MR or higher desirable
  • Experience in associated electrical/electronic/instrumentation and communication works associated with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) – Desirable
  • Working at Heights, EWP, Crane Operation, Dogman, Traffic Management - Desirable
