Heavy Vehicle Mechanic


The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to support our team working on the Defence maintenance contract. This position will see you join our Vehicle Mechanical Crew working across the workshop floor maintaining an array of different Defence vehicle fleets.

This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday – Friday, 07:00am to 03:45pm with a 12:00pm finish on Fridays (38hours per week) with some overtime available and will see you based at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford.

To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to

  • Carry out scheduled servicing and vehicle inspections
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
  • Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
  • Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs


Requirements

  • Trade Certificate III as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
  • Current WA HR Driver’s License
  • Certificate II Automotive Air Conditioning or willing to obtain
  • Open and clear communication within a team environment
