About the role

Estia Health Bannockburn comprises of 120 beds.  It is a warm and inviting home in a beautiful country setting between the cities of Geelong and Ballarat.

You will be responsible for supporting the Residential Aged Care Manager with the management of our home specifically surrounding the provision of advanced clinical and holistic care of residents, with no two days the same in this diverse role.  One day your focus could be on Supervising the submission of accurate and timely AN-ACC documentation and the next you could be providing clinical leadership, supervision and education to nursing and care staff, You will;

  • Promote a resident-centered culture which values, respects and treats all residents with compassion and dignity
  • Ensure rights and responsibilities of residents are provided and concerns raised by residents or family members are addressed in a timely and collaborative manner 
  • Coordinate continuous improvement activities relevant to resident care within the home
  • Support the Residential Aged Care Manager in ensuring compliance is achieved and maintained in accordance with policy and regulatory standards
  • Measure, analyse and monitor clinical audit and clinical indicator results to support clinical staff to drive improvements in the delivery of care
  • Act as the Residential Aged Care Manager in all aspects of the home in the Residential Aged Care Manager’s absence when required

 

 

The traits that will help you succeed

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, Minimum of 3 years’ nursing management experience at ward level or higher
  • Well-developed management skills and demonstrated leadership ability
  • Case Management skills and experience
  • Highly developed analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment
