I was in supermarkets and other retail for 28 years and I decided to make a career change. I went back to TAFE and studied for six months to get the certificate. You don't realise that you've got these skills, but just like in retail, you have to work with people, talk to people, time management, be flexible. You go home and you feel like you've actually helped someone.Paul - Personal Care Assistant
After I had my youngest daughter, I wanted a career change and thought I'd love to look after people. So I did my aged care course and my individual support and then I liked that so much that I went on and did my lifestyle course, which I really enjoyed. I did my course with a lady who worked here and she said, “Come and do your placement here. It's such a good place. The staff are great. Residents are amazing.” So I did that. And the rest is history.Sally, Lifestyle Assistant and Personal Care Assistant
