About the role

The Assistant Accounts Payable Officer role provides administration duties for the Accounts Payable team and support to ExpenseMe users and expense management across the business. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely verification and maintenance of the Vendor master file.

The Assistant Accounts Payable Officer will have varied responsibilities including;

  • Monitoring, categorising, and assigning of Service Management cases across the Accounts Payable team
  • Verification and setup of new vendors to Masterfile
  • ExpenseMe customer support
  • ExpenseMe transaction submission review & error correction
  • Petty Cash reconciliation management for Estia facilities
  • Back up support in Accounts Payable processing of invoices

Any additional duties as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager

  • Responsively handle ad-hoc requests from the business, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to addressing urgent financial needs, while also undertaking other duties as required to support the overall financial objectives of the organisation.

The traits that will help you succeed

  • Experience in Master data maintenance
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry & record keeping
  • Experience in expense management & processing
  • Experience working within a high-volume accounts payable or customer service environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills incorporating effective listening, clear communication and interpersonal skills and utilising positive language.
  • Strong organisation skills, close attention to detail and adaptable to multi-tasking in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Epicor, ExpenseMe, Docstar
