Transgender awareness is critical, and we’d like to share Cassie’s story.

“My name is Cassie Copland, and I am a part of the Ventia Operations Centre team. I spent seven years serving in the Australian Army before being medically discharged in Feb 2021.

I joined Ventia as a part of the Defence team in April of 2022 and I am a proud trans woman. During my time with Ventia I have found an amazing culture that exists within the company, on a personal and professional level.

I began my transition before joining Ventia, however, I have been met with nothing but love, kindness and support from my immediate team and superiors.

Being able to live and work authentically as myself within such a positive team environment, I cannot understate the profound impact this has had on my mental health and improved my drive and overall capability.”
