HR - Business Partner


Vocus are on the hunt to find the brightest HR Business Partner to join our team and partner with key clients on all facets of Human Resources and provide sound advice in line with business needs whilst mitigating risk. This is a  great 12-month fixed term contract, part-time role (3 days a week or .6 FTE). This superstar will be responsible for leading and managing special projects as well as the following:
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Provide sound advice to your assigned client group in line with legislative requirements
  • Partner with your client group to achieve business objectives
  • Coach and guide managers on all aspects of leadership & performance management.
  • Lead & manage HR processes for your client group, including;
    • Performance management
    • Salary review process
    • Employee development
    • Organisational change management
    • Employee labour relations
  • Identify and implement areas for improvement within HR processes.
  • Reporting; complete monthly and adhoc reports for the HR team & Business
  • Develop, implement and review policies and procedures as required.
  • Manage H&S and WC matters for your client group
  • Keep abreast for legislative changes and topics, related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training and education sessions to managers on all HR matters where required.
  • Providing interpretation and counsel to Line Management regarding policies, programs and practices.
  • Researching issues and developing solutions to resolve business issues

 
What skills you need to bring:

  • 2-3 years experience in an HRBP role
  • Minimum Grad Dip qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on coaching & mentoring
  • Proven knowledge of Human Resources practices and organisational policies
  • Relationship management and influencing skills
  • Business partnering capability
  • Proven knowledge of IR/ER and OH&S legislation and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the business and external parties
