Consumer Insights Analyst

Vocus is looking for an experienced Consumer Insights/Market Analyst to join their growing Insights team to facilitate/conduct Consumer and/or Market research that will be used to feed insights for campaigns, identify business opportunities, drive product design and track our overall marketing/brand performance. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of working cross-functionally in a data-driven, fast-paced, and high-growth company, successfully delivering research projects and insights.
Responsibilities include:

  • Work with key stakeholders across the Sales & Marketing teams, as well as the wider Consumer team (as necessary) to co-create, manage and execute a market research roadmap that leads to an ever improving and deepening understanding of our customers
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research, interpreting research findings into actionable insights to inform marketing strategies, and work cross-functionally to facilitate execution
  • Leverage customer and market insights from Market research to inform and make strategic recommendations to senior marketing leaderships
  • Design and manage research leveraging methodology that will yield the maximum insight possible for a given set of business questions to be answered and business decisions to be made
  • Distill data collected via research into impactful insights which impact business decisions that lead to tangibly better business outcome
  • Conduct Market research to gather data on consumer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits and communicate these insights to the wider marketing team to help determine and plan campaigns
  • Be the subject matter expert in the principles and concepts of market research and market analytics

Candidate requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in behavioral, market, or customer experience research designing behavioral research or experiments and analyzing datasets
  • Experience partnering with third-party research agencies to facilitate research projects from start to finish, and generate customer and market insights
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a social sciences field
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a data-driven, fast-paced organisation
  • Experience working with stakeholders and developing specific research plans based on loosely defined goals
  • Experience using statistical techniques to draw insights from data to make informed recommendations
  • Ability to balance the need for quick turnaround with longer-term strategic efforts
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and self-starter with a strong desire to learn
  • Strong communication, project management, time management and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau
