About the role

As part of the Refinery Safety team, this role will provide coaching and mentoring across the site in order to drive an improved Safety culture during normal operations and Turnaround events. The role is responsible for leading and supporting hazard identification and risk assessment as well as performing first line Safety Assurance activities. This role will support and lead incident investigations, sharing the learnings throughout the Refinery. The Safety Coach will also be responsible for developing and delivering safety specific training, safety communications, and shall participate in the review and development of site safety procedures. Reporting directly to the Safety Manager, this role will help support safety improvement plans and build safety capability across site.

About you

As an OHS professional, you will display strong safety leadership with experience working in heavy manufacturing/production environment. You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in motivating and influencing multi-disciplinary stakeholders to enable them to improve their safety performance.
