About the role
This is an opportunity to be a key member of the External Communications team, responsible for the direction and delivery of Viva Energy Australia’s Media strategy. You will be our media subject matter expert, proactively working with the business. You will love the challenge presented by this opportunity, being the company spokesperson for media inquiries and the media focal point for our important internal and external stakeholders.
The role will have a broad communications focus; working as part of the communications team on external communications activities including; project work, government relations, social media, industrial relations and boarder issues management.

You will have an accomplished track record in Media, experienced in proactive and reactive media relations (traditional and social), you will be excited to work with a leading ASX listed energy provider and understand the requirements of being a public company brings to media management. Your quick thinking commercial acumen and ability to navigate complex issues in the context of strategy will set you apart. You will have excellent written and communication skills demonstrated media management (writing and editing skills). You will be comfortable working across multiple areas of the organisation and stakeholders from communities, state and local government, traditional media outlets, CEO’s and the executive team. You will have proven experience across broad external communications issues, enjoy working as part of a small high performing team.
