Advanced Process Control Engineer

About the role

This is a key role working as part of the Technology team supporting our refining operations. You will guide, influence and be a technical expert in the area of Advanced Process Control (APC). You will work to optimise the operations by implementing and maintaining APC applications within the Refinery Complex to maximise profitability. You will be focussed on business improvement, process technologies and delivering efficiencies. In this role you will be a key technical authority on Process Control Computer Systems. You will work across the broader refinery team and have shared responsibility for safety across the operation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have in depth experience in APC within process industry and tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering or Process Control. You will be a natural influencer who is curious to innovate and problem solve from new angles. You will have excellent theoretical background, strong analytical skills and be experienced at developing and implementing process models. Your communication skills will be second to none, you will be experienced in process plant technology and have competency in Process Computer and DCS systems.
