Senior Insight Analyst


One of the big changes under Telstra2022 strategy is the creation of a new standalone Business Unit, Telstra InfraCo.  Telstra InfraCo will be responsible for about half of Telstra’s infrastructure. It will be accountable for our copper and HFC networks, fibre network, ducts, pits and pipes, property including exchange buildings and data centres, and subsea cables.

As the Senior Insight Analyst, you will manage the implementation of end to end data and analytical insights through the delivery of actionable intelligence to support business outcomes. You will ensure teams have access to the data required to measure the success of new releases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing metrics, define data requirements, and develop dashboards to track and monitor the performance of products released to customers.
  • Developing data analysis and ongoing insights leveraging multiple data sources that test hypotheses and correspond to business performance metrics.
  • Gathering data to inform financial and forecasting models to assess opportunity value and funding for new pieces of work.
  • Developing and enhancing data analysis processes, tools and structures to improve enterprise data insight efficiencies.
  • Providing expert advice through data insights, identifying and analysing industry and market trends blending data and utilising analysis techniques to develop enterprise solutions.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to develop data insights and communicate findings, projections and recommendations with key stakeholders to make informed decisions.

So, who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated ability in simplifying and articulating data insights for a broad set of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience applying business acumen in data analysis and presentation of results
  • Advanced skills in SQL, R, Python, or another commonly used data interrogation language
  • Advanced Tableau skills or another commonly used BI visualisation tool
  • Strong relationship management skills and personal authenticity with ability to influence executives and stakeholders to achieve complex outcomes
  • Advance excel skills
  • Previous experience with Agile ways of working
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
