Senior Finance Analyst

As a leading Senior Finance Analyst, you will support the financial planning, forecasting, control, data integrity, financial analysis and performance of the Networks line of business within Telstra Operations, and other central pieces of work driven by corporate demand.


  • Manage the Networks Stream within Telstra Operations and the relationship with the respective Finance Strategy Manager
  • Lead and oversee the financial planning, forecasting, control, data integrity and financial analysis/performance
  • Manage and govern overall financials for Networks including P&L accuracy and balance sheet impacts
  • Preparing reports and presentation of actual, forecast, and plan results to the responsible business areas
  • Lead and support central pieces of work driven by Corporate demand including Balance Sheet Reviews, half/EOY audit requirements and TEM methodology for Operations
  • Providing high level variance analysis of performance against plans and forecasts along with insights into performance improvement opportunities


  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance related discipline. Preferable post graduate qualification and professional membership (CA/CPA)
  • Strong background in financial analysis and system-driven projects and solutions
  • Proven experience of successful collaboration with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Proficient in writing end to end business cases
  • Ability to time manage and operate in an environment where there are competing priorities
  • Ability to translate problems into solutions and communicate these in a simple and concise manner
  • Strong ownership and accountability and self-management
