Senior Business Specialist

The Senior Business Domain Specialist will work with Business and Software Engineering stakeholders to define roadmaps including intersecting capabilities and the approach to meet the business needs. You will liaise with business and technology stakeholders to provide guidance and insight on the most appropriate business focused solutions in-line with Consumer & Small Business key performance metrics. The role will have a focus on front end technologies comprising of CRM, Order Management, Knowledge and Provisioning processes that underpin the day to day activity of our channels.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist in defining and executing upon the Consumer & Small Business Transformation Roadmap.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to business and technology colleagues.
  • Understand, analyse, interpret and translate business needs in order to formulate and communicate an optimal outcome.
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to reach an agreed solution approach.
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to grasp concepts quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Innovative, creative, and extremely responsive with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical resources
  • Practical experience in software implementations and existing system enhancements including business analysis; requirements, use case, architectural analysis, system development and specification documentation; testing; and training
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve issues.
  • Review and analyse existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud CRM systems and supporting applications – SFDC Sales or Service Cloud
  • Experience in a large scale transformation programs.
  • HSE Responsibility: Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, comply with and implement any reasonable Telstra HSE instruction, policy, standard, minimum requirement or procedure, and support Telstra to meet its duties under the relevant safety and environmental legislation.

To be successful for this role you will have demonstrated experience with front end technologies / tools specifically Salesforce (AEM, Siebel, Genesys are also preferred) alongside experience in developing and executing upon strategy and roadmap activities. Strong partnering, communication & collaborative skills will be required, as well as the ability to deliver results working to set timeframes. Previous experience managing technology delivery in waterfall and agile methodologies is preferred alongside experience with customer facing technologies/languages (HTML5, Angular/Node/React JS).
