Production Coordinator Specialist


An exciting opportunity exists for a Production Coordinator to join Telstra in a permanent capacity, as part of our new Content & Channels team. The team is tasked with planning and producing content for Telstra’s internal and external digital communications channels including social media, editorial and internal news.

The Production Coordinator will enable our team of Creative & Production Specialists to do their best work by ensuring projects and processes are setup for success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop production plans in partnership with the Creative & Production Lead, Campaign Lead, Senior Content Specialists and Creative & Production Specialists.
  • Project manage production activities ensuring all creative assets are delivered on-time, to brief and on-budgets and stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Establish processes and procedures that enable the team to produce high quality work as efficiently as possible, while retaining ample flexibility to respond quickly.
  • Write briefs, produce cost estimates and secure endorsement where it is necessary to engage third-party vendors and freelance support for production and post-production.
  • Manage briefing and delivery by third-party vendors as required.
  • Establish and maintain our content asset library and archive.
  • Maintain WIP documents and calendars/rosters across all projects.
  • Maintain inventory of production equipment and tools, including both hardware and software.

    So, who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in a Production Coordinator role within a production, broadcast or agency environment
  • Hold tertiary qualifications
  • Hands-on expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite, editing in Premier Pro
  • Experience ingesting and tagging raw footage
  • In-depth knowledge of pre-production, production and post-production workflows
  • Have initiative, drive and the ability to lead effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Previous experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering quality commitments on time
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
