Entrepreneurial Lead

As part of our mission to generate and accelerate growth opportunities and business value for Telstra, an exciting opportunity now exists to join our CTO Innovation Team as an Entrepreneurial Lead.
As part of a talented, collaborative team, you will play a leading role in transforming our approach to problem solving and delivery on high impact projects with executive level sposnsorship. You will be innovating at the epicentre of Telstra’s vast capabilities, the CTO’s deep technical skills, and our broader ecosystem, and tangible customer needs.
Your entrepreneurial curiosity should be backed with a solid understanding of Design Thinking and Lean Start Up.
As the Entrepreneurial Lead, you will facilitate and lead the conceptualisation and evaluation of opportunities, to drive outcomes such as:
- Initial assessment and refinement of opportunities
- Learning, testing and prototyping to find problem/solution fit
- Identifying solutions based on product/ market fit
- Designing and building prototypes/ MVPs
Applying a customer centric approach to solving problems and defining new solutions, your responsibilities will also include:
- Planning and running internal and external engagements including workshops, immersive sprints and Innovation Accelerators
- Identifying and creating a practical toolkit of industry-leading best practices
- Understanding the latest development and trends in technology, innovation and design, sharing knowledge and promoting world-class innovation approaches
- Storytelling to effectively communicate opportunities to customers and internal stakeholders
To secure this opportunity, you will bring proven experience in transforming opportunities into businesses, including evidence of
- A highly developed understanding of lean startup, HCD
- Deep business acumen (across all business model areas), to recognise, evaluate and articulate the characteristics of excellent business opportunities
- Empathy in understanding customers problems and reframe them into compelling opportunities
- Curiosity and passion for emerging technologies, startups, and new ways of work
- Experience leading and coaching teams through facilitating workshops, training, immersive sprints and longer term accelerators. This includes proven leadership of enterprise customers, technologists and entrepreneurs with purpose, rigour and fun as they struggle through the ambiguity of innovation.
