Customer Technical Lead


Our Telstra - Business Technology Services (BTS) team are embarking on an exciting high scale growth as we continue to deliver exceptional first class business and technology solutions. To do this, we’re on the hunt for an eager to learn, customer centric Customer Technical Lead to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, in any capital city locations in Australia.

As Part of the Technical Customer Consulting team this role will see you lead customer consulting services to provide the best possible solution for one of our largest strategic enterprise customers. Your technical knowledge in Telstra’s key solutions will be essential to see you thrive in satisfying our customers’ needs. These solutions include Networks, Security, Unified Comms, Contact Centre and Infrastructure. Whether you specialise in one solution domain or multiple solution domains we want to hear from you. 

Key accountabilities include:-

  • Deliver an Advisory Consultative approach to clients. Ensuring to understand customer requirements and best solution.
  • Lead a team of Architects and Designers to better collaborate technical knowledge within Telstra, its partners and customers.
  • Drive business development discussions, with the ability to lead advisory engagements to share and influence client initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless solution implementation to client specifications with governance and architecture in mind.
  • Continue to develop and lead technology roadmap for specific and integrated service offerings.
  • Recommend new and/or alternative technologies which will enhance current systems.  

What does success looks like?

To be successful for this role, you will have the following:

  • Graduate or post graduate qualifications (or equivalent industry professional experience) in relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Previous experience with ICT Consultancy
  • Must have proven extensive experience in delivering business and technology consultancy services to large and medium sized enterprise organisations
  • Must have proven solid deep Subject Matter Expertise delivered to clients in two or more technology domains
  • Experience across multiple Sectors/ Industries
  • Qualifications include: ITIL V3 Expert
  • Experience with industry/ enterprise consulting and delivery methods based on COBIT, TOGAF, Prince2, ITIL, Telstra TRIM, etc
  • Must have or eligible for NV1 (and above) security clearance

Desired - Qualifications include:

  • TOGAF, ITIL
  • Contact Centre and Unified Comms Technologies
  • Cisco Certification – CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, CCIP, CCIE
  • VMWare or other Virtualisation Technologies
  • Data Centre Technologies
