Business Development-Senior Specialist

Telstra Enterprise is a growth engine for Telstra and is focused on providing global business customers of all sizes with industry based services and solutions. We’re on the lookout for a Senior Business Development Executive to join our Customer Management and Sales team to drive business development activities and lead the growth of a defined group of complex customers.

As a Business Development Associate you will be involved in:

  • Aligning Business Development activities with the broader business plan.
  • Identify requirements and define solutions that fulfil the needs of and are valued by Telstra customers. Support the development of new products, services and solutions by combining several existing products/services, and developing a market sector by generating sales leads for new Telstra products, services and solutions.
  • Assess potential partners, perform competitive research and evaluate proposed deals/partnerships and analyse and develop business cases for new business targets.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement and strategic new business opportunities.  Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, interacting with a diverse set of partners and prospective partners.
  • Sell all pre-defined offers without specialist assistance.  As directed by the Business Development Manager, establish, maintain and execute Account Plans endorsed by customers. Draft and negotiate contracts.

So what are we looking for?

  • 10+ years industry experience
  • Experience selling B2B solutions in the Telecommunications industry
  • Experience selling ICT products
  • Candidates must be Australian citizens as eligibility to hold or obtain an Australian Department of Defence Security Clearance.
