Senior Analyst – Corporate Overheads

  • Permanent opportunity within Planning, Reporting & Analysis supporting the Corporate Overhead departments
  • 2IC to Finance Manager, supervising 2 analysts
  • Business Partner to Senior Management, responsible for end to end accounting, planning, reporting, insights and analysis, to drive achievement of cost targets

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst / Business Partner to join the Overheads team, supporting the Corporate departments. This is a great opportunity to step into a true business partnering role where you are supporting Senior Management across the business in achieving their cost targets; whilst developing your leadership skills as supervisor to 2 analysts, and 2IC to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end to end management accounting, reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting for Corporate Overheads; providing quality management insight into factors influencing performance, and presenting recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Responsible for challenging the current processes and assumptions, and driving improvement initiatives to deliver greater control, transparency, accuracy and simplification where possible.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal customers / stakeholders including Corporate ExCo members, General Managers & Senior Managers and the broader Finance team.
  • Support the wider Overheads team as a strong 2IC to the Finance Manager, leading the team in periods of FM leave, driving initiatives and supporting deliverables across the team.
  • Subject matter expert for the Corporate departments, supervising, reviewing and directing the day-day work of 2 analysts.
  • Embed a culture of strong control and risk compliance ensuring adherence to Accounting Policies and internal controls including balance sheet recs and analytical reviews.

About You   

  • You will be an experienced Analyst or Management Accountant with a current CPA/CA or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience in Overheads accounting, planning, and business partnering
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and influence strong partnerships at all levels across the organisation
  • A naturally curious & inquisitive individual with a history of driving continuous improvement
  • An autonomous self-starter who is solutions focused and has a high level of Commercial Awareness
  • Experience supervising or leading a team would be highly regarded but is not essential
