Legal Administrator - 3 days per week


About the role

Excellent opportunity for a Legal Administrator who is looking for a bit of flexibility and their next challenge. This is a fixed term part time role for 12 months where you will be working across 3 days a week from Monday to Wednesday. You will be based out in Melbourne Head Office where you will join a busy, hardworking and sociable team. As a Legal Administrator your role is critical to the successful completion of legal property transactions within our Retirement Living business. Utilising your strong technical conveyancing skills and your genuine customer service approach you will work within assigned jurisdictions nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Key Relationships with Solicitors, Residents and Village Managers 
  • Execution of Legal Documents
  • Arrange and complete settlements, including disbursement of funds and reporting to the Finance Department
  • Ensuring documentation is professionally prepared and in line with agreed processes and policies
  • Preparation of Disclosure statements and Public Information Documents where required
  • Contributing to the overall delivery of legal contracts transactions required for the growth of Stockland Retirement Living
  • Work effectively with senior executives, internal stakeholders, and line management balance with using professional judgement and common sense
  • Build long-term value for stakeholders through a commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability

About You  

  • Experience with Legal Conveyancing or Legal Administration preferably about 3-5 years’ experience
  • You are an autonomous and proactive worker but also a team player
  • A resourceful working style with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent communication with strong interpersonal skills and a strong eye for detail
  • Confidence, Resilience and a degree of Empathy matched with excellence in Customer Service especially as you will be interacting with new and old residents at the village
