Senior Finance Manager, Portfolio Analysis

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate financial manager to join our commercial finance team. The aim of the role will be to drive group wide capital management activities, providing business and industry insights to support capital planning and resource allocation. Also, you will be responsible for supporting management, Business Development and Strategic Capital team by managing the preparation of relevant data and insights during formulation of corporate strategy and strategic initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the CIO Group in reviewing potential Mergers & Acquisitions and Divestures, through managing the asset level financial modelling, reviewing assumptions, calculating accounting returns and assessing the impact to portfolio metrics.
  • Drive and manage the assessment of all proposed investment, divestment and development opportunities submitted to the Investment Review Group. Assessment includes integrity review of financial models, assessing impact to portfolio metrics and leveraging insights from the existing portfolio to challenge and validate commercial assumptions.
  • Drive and manage Group wide financial assessments of the asset portfolio, identifying opportunities and threats, and comparing portfolio outcomes to strategy, peers, and market trends.
  • Support partnership building with key internal stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships including Business Unit Senior Managers.
  • Drive proactive engagement with the senior stakeholders for the identification of opportunities, management of risks and drivers of capital expenditure to understand their implications for the Group.

About You   

  • CFA or equivalent post graduate qualification is required
  • Financially and commercially astute
  • Experience in Group wide capital management and planning
  • Experience in managing an appropriately sized team
  • Financial & Commercial Analysis skills
  • Analysis & Reporting background
  • Planning, Budgeting & Forecast
  • Commercial & Organisational Risk awareness
