As a Senior Category Specialist, you will have the opportunity to apply creative and innovative methods of delivering procurement solutions that optimise value for money. You will contribute to the development of procurement plans and strategies that drive ethical sourcing activities for Queensland Urban Utilities.

The responsibilities in this role include:

  • Deliver sourcing outcomes that contribute the business achieving its objectives and outcomes and deliver innovation and whole of life value
  • Provide leadership and input into strategic sourcing projects including subject matter advice, contract negotiation, development and implementation
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to assist in managing performance and ensure that the organisation understands industry trends, emerging opportunities and innovation
  • Measure, benchmark and manage the performance of the supplier network within categories under management
  • Develop and manage professional stakeholder relationships and develop a comprehensive understanding of QUU’s business requirements

You will be highly experienced in supplier relationship management and contractual negotiations with strategic suppliers to improve customer experience and business processes. You will be consultative and collaborative in your approach working with a range of internal and external stakeholders including the Executive Leadership team.  You are solution and outcomes focussed and take accountability for outcomes you deliver on behalf of the business.
