The national Infrastructure Lead Advisory business co-invests with clients to create and execute infrastructure projects. This can range from greenfield start-up opportunities to brownfield divestments and acquisitions. We are focussed on deploying PwC’s expertise in energy, education and environment to deliver infrastructure projects that make a meaningful contribution to society.

We act as lead adviser, which includes initiating, project managing and negotiating the full range of divestment, acquisition and project finance activity, including:

  • Identifying market opportunities and developing business strategies
  • Raising equity and debt finance and sourcing of strategic finance partners 
  • Divestments – trade sales, IPOs/floats
  • Mergers & acquisitions
  • Takeovers and takeover defense
  • Management buy-outs/buy-ins
  • Joint ventures & alliances

About the role:
This client facing role will see you involved in all aspects of the creation and execution of infrastructure projects including originating projects, developing investment thesis, divestments, acquisitions and capital raising ventures. Your previous experience in financial modelling, business valuations, project finance, business structuring and transaction advisory will be highly regarded.

About you:
The successful candidate will have experience in a professional services firm, an infrastructure manager/owner business development team or a bank’s project finance division. You will have demonstrated an understanding and comprehension of the theoretical aspects of project finance, capital markets, industry analysis, valuations, mergers & acquisitions, IPOs and risk management protocols in these areas.

In addition, you will possess the ability to review, interrogate and manipulate integrated financial models for project valuation, taxation, cash flow and financial analysis. Ideally you will have completed your Bachelor of Law/Commerce or Bachelor of Law/Business degree coupled with a post-graduate degree in Applied Finance and/or be progressing your CFA.
