Join PwC’s Risk Assurance team as a Senior Consultant specialising in Financial Audit, to work with clients in the Commonwealth government, State and Territory government, commercial for-profit businesses (including defence, utilities, property, large clubs and financial services) and not-for-profit organisations by providing a range of financial audit and audit related services.

As a Senior Consultant within the Financial Audit team, your impact will be evidenced by leading or supporting the on the ground delivery of financial audits. This will include working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners to deliver high quality audit engagements.

About the role:

  • Join PwC’s market leading Financial Statement Audit team as a Senior Consultant, working under the direction of a team of Managers, Directors and Partners, executing Financial Statement Audits.
  • Advising and assisting in the delivery of PwC’s Financial Statement Audit methodologies.
  • Liaising with clients and developing client relationships.
  • Managing the execution of Financial Statement Audits.
  • Coaching junior staff members in the delivery of an audit.

About you

The brief is simple...

You have 3-5 years’ experience in financial audit.  You thrive in a collaborative and innovative culture and want to join a firm that values problem solvers, the kind of people who reimagine what’s possible for their clients and key stakeholders.

  • You will have 3-5 years’ experience providing Financial Statement Audit services across a wide range of entities, such as Commonwealth government, State and Territory government, commercial for-profit businesses, with experience in the following industries: property, financial services and large clubs, and not-for-profit organisations.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CA/CPA qualified, or working towards qualification.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both clients and staff.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in applying Australian Auditing Standards.
  • Strong client service mindset and experience dealing with clients.
  • Ability to be agile and adapt to change.
  • A team player with strong time and project management skills.
  • Successful applicants will need to have a Commonwealth Government security clearance at a minimum baseline level or have the ability to obtain one.
