About you
This role in our Project Risk team helps identify underlying project risks, seeks to prevent project failures before they occur, empowers business change management and enhances project performance outcomes.

You have some experience of the delivery of complex projects: you might be a business analyst, or be working in a PMO or project office. You can understand what good and bad project or portfolio management looks like. You have a passion for being part of a successful project.

You must bring a practical knowledge of project management and, preferably, risk management. You are seeking to obtain further qualifications (Prince 2, PMBOK, Agile or equivalents), or perhaps already have them, with experience successfully operating in project environments. We will expect strong communication skills, a highly organised approach and proven project management. Experience of consulting or professional services will be an advantage.

About the role
This challenging role will see you:

  • Work as a member of our project risk team, advising our clients on their complex projects
  • Working with departments and agencies across federal government to improve project outcomes
  • Consistently display extraordinary commitment to client service and a high degree of accountability
  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients’ projects to help them address key strategic and operational risks
  • Participate in meetings with key client stakeholders and drafting a range of client reports
  • Help think about recommendations and develop improvement plans to uplift our clients’ project delivery capability.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Deloitte's leading edge tools and methodologies, while promoting and enforcing compliance with mandated professional practices
  • Be able to work, manage time, and prioritise within a portfolio of client work
  • Perform and assist with business development as required

The minimum salary of this role is 70,550 AUD which is inclusive of a 9.5% Super contribution.
