Operations Technical Writer


Within our Corporate Risk & Broking Operations team we are currently looking for an experienced Technical Writer, you will be hands on within this project role to redesign and create operational training and procedural content as part of our ANZ Operations.


You will possess excellent communication skills, be creative in your solutions and most of all be client and execution focused. You will bring your expertise and energy to help deliver pragmatic but significant improvements to our operational knowledge management strategy.

Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contact which will require the successful candidate to be available immediately.

The Role
 

  • Play a key role in the execution of our knowledge management strategy in terms of what and how we deliver operational training and policy and procedure content to our client facing teams across Australia and New Zealand
  • Supporting Operations team members, this role is responsible for creating specific training content and procedural information focused on our global client service model
  • Requires thought leadership in proposing improvements to existing training and procedural manuals to deliver the best possible user experience but also considering time and cost constraints
  • Apply expertise to redesign, create and publish agreed online training and procedural content to meet local and global requirements
  • Work with Operations and IT to agree the best way to digitise key training and procedural solutions

The Requirements

  • Proven experience creating reference and e-learning material
  • Advanced writing and communication skills, including editing and proofreading and the ability to prepare written work that is well constructed and easily understood
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and ideally sharepoint and VISIO
  • Ability to communicate clearly and to simplify technical concepts and explain them
  • Worked and delivered in immature project environments, can design and manage own schedule to deliver
  • Designed learning content and frameworks in a cost effective manner
  • Clear understanding of usability requirements when creating procedural content
  • Good stakeholder engagement and management skills, can work across multiple locations, time zones and cultures
  • Experience in working in Project and Change teams to design creative and inspiring material under tight timeframes
  • A critical eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement
  • University Degree qualified (preferred)
  • Understanding of the Insurance market / industry would be beneficial
