Manager, Strategy

As Manager, Strategy, you will be an integral part of the team managing multiple strategic development and roadmap initiatives/work streams. In this highly-visible role, you will act as a trusted advisor to Senior Leaders across business units in strategy development projects.

In your new role, you will lead a small team to deliver a portfolio of parallel projects and initiatives by developing and leveraging a broad skillset of technical knowledge and capabilities.

The Strategy function is part of the Strategy, Risk & Governance team and is charged with the purpose to create action oriented strategic insights and foster industry collaboration for the benefit of nbn.

Please note this is a 24-month max term contract.

A bit about your role

  • Managing the process for multiple strategic initiatives; leveraging direct reports and project resources from across the business
  • Framing problems, identifying key issues, and performing data-driven analytics and issue-based problem-solving skills
  • Pulling together necessary sources of information, conducting analysis, and drawing meaningful insights
  • Compiling and presenting quality PowerPoint presentations, reports, and strategy narratives, and leading and actively participating in project meetings and strategy briefings
  • Engaging SMEs on strategic nbn projects, and acting as a Trusted Advisor to senior managers
  • Self and people leadership through upward management and self-motivation

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you would have a strong Strategic consulting background either in an internal or external capacity, preferably within the telecommunications industry.

Your prior experience working in fast-paced environments would also see you comfortable working with ambiguity and managing change on a regular basis.

A proven people leader, you should have experience developing and managing small teams to deliver strategic solutions. Furthermore, you would have advanced stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders.
