The Opportunity

We have a 12 month contract opportunity as Retail Centre Manager in our Bankstown store. You will inspire, coach and lead a team of sales consultants; helping Medibank customers choose the perfect cover for themselves and their families, and building confidence and trust in the Medibank brand through every customer interaction. You are also the local face of our business for your store's surrounding community, developing strong relationships with Medibank customers, health service providers and corporate partners.

We put our customers first. That means exploring to deeply understand our customers’ needs, and providing them with peace of mind around their health needs. Your team will deliver awesome customer experiences that result in strong customer advocacy, and ensure our customers leave our stores better informed, better off and better supported by Medibank. 

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a profitable business through best practice sales, retention and customer service.
  • Creating a store culture that emphasises empowerment, results and achievement, quality, continuous improvement and teamwork;
  • Coaching and developing teams to get the best out of our people;
  • Proactively seeking new business relationships while managing existing ones;
  • Managing day-to-day operations and costs; and
  • Keeping up to date with customer, industry and community trends.

About You

With solid experience in leading sales teams, this role will see you drive your team to reach their targets. You understand that technology is constantly changing and the importance of staying at the forefront of it, to meet your customer’s needs, including social media channels.

You will also be positive, resilient and accountable for your team’s goals, whilst leading by example. You will put the customer at the centre of your thinking, implementing different strategies to meet their needs. An evident passion for providing an excellent customer experience for all our members, will be a key driver of your success.
