Operations Team Leader, Service Sales Centre & Operations - Brisbane

Macquarie is currently recruiting for an Operations Team Leader to join our Cash Operations team based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

Cash Operations within our BFS division manages all processing for Macquarie advisers, independent financial advisers and clients.  The centre offers advisers and their businesses a highly trained team of dedicated administrators and consultants who can assist in improving business efficiency and meeting compliance commitments. Our Brisbane office is a great place to work - with an open plan office, community events to get involved in and a great team to be part of.

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, mentoring and supporting the team;
  • Monitor work activity and work volumes and compiling relevant updates to management and reporting as required;
  • Identify any training needs and skills gaps
  • Ensure all processing complies with internal controls;
  • Conducting regular team meetings, individual catch-ups as well as formal performance reviews;
  • Communicating product, system and regulation updates to your team;
  • Collaborating with other areas to solve issues and meet client needs
  • Liaising with other teams on quality issues such as errors & escalated items
  • Identifying and implementing ideas to improve team and business efficiency

Our service business offers a same day service to its clients. It is a requirement of this role that all client requests are actioned each day.  This will mean that at times you may be required to work flexibly beyond your scheduled hours.

As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate:

  • Professional communication skills
  • Previous experience in team leader role, ideally in client service  centres
  • Some exposure to cash products and an understanding of financial markets willbe well regarded
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage others
  • Client centric approach to work
  • A team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes
