Networks Demand Manager

As our Networks Demand Manager, you will work with the businesses, technology and internal Network stakeholders to role manage the Networks project pipeline, facilitate the triage and resourcing meetings, as well as oversee and report on the progress of projects. You will also act as the primary point of contact for Project Managers, project initiators and stakeholders.

In this position, you will have the change to work with both business and technology customers to implement the project engagement model that defines the entry point and mechanism for project work coming into the networks infrastructure team. Joining our team, means you will help us set and maintain the Demand Management Framework, processes and procedures and ensure processes developed for Networks comply with MGL policies and standards.

Additionally, you will be working as the point of contact for business and technology customers who need to determine the status of a project or need to escalate the execution of a project. This will include arranging and facilitating the Networks Triage Meeting to determine the high-level sizing, potential resourcing, need for an architecture review and which (internal/vendor) implementing teams will be required for each project.

Other responsibilities include:

  • document, publish and communicate to all relevant stakeholders any changes to project and delivery task request methods and processes
  • coach Network and vendor resources on using the processes and procedures
  • analyse and report on work pipeline and metrics to inform management priorities
  • review incoming work submissions for completeness to enable efficient execution by the engineering teams
  • prepare and facilitate regular prioritisation meetings across each region with regional stakeholders, service and portfolio managers to prioritise project work for delivery
  • manage escalations, supporting Service Owners, engineering team leads and vendors to re-prioritise projects when required
  • support the management of risks, actions and issues by liaising with the assigned Tech BORM and ensure compliance with Macquarie’s Risk Management Framework
  • create knowledgebase articles to share knowledge and expertise.
