DevOps Team Lead


We are searching for an enthusiastic and talented hands-on DevOps team lead with technical skills in T-SQL and .NET to join its global technology delivery team to deliver an exciting roadmap to enhance a document digitisation application Macquarie.  Roadmap projects include implementation of a new RESTful service in Microsoft .NET Core, leveraging AI and OCR technology

In this role you will:

  • work in an agile environment with end to end platform responsibilities
  • work with Platform manager to lead and manager globally distributed team
  • ensure high quality of solutions, security, performance and operational requirements are met
  • mentor - Provide guidance, training, and problem-solving support to team members
  • identify opportunities for automation and architecture simplification
  • deploy automate, and maintain cloud-based solutions
  • design and execute migration from stored procedures to rest based API for consumer data consumption
  • lead and execute effort to move to CI/CD leverage existing Cloud platform
  • implement source code management, continuous testing, and deployment services
  • collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems and assessing and implementing AI solutions.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • in-depth knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Sybase)
  • development of T-SQL stored procedures (at least 3 years) on SQL Server or Sybase
  • SQL Server Knowledge Including SSRS
  • experience developing in the .NET Framework
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • ability to work in a distributed team environment
  • strong communication skills
  • a tertiary education in technology preferable
  • prior experience with financial systems is preferable
  • experience building RESTful services is preferable.

An ideal candidate will be proficient in many of the following:

  • language: C#, MS-SQL, Sybase
  • framework: .NET, WebAPI (RESTful services)
  • development environment: Windows 7, Visual Studio, Git
  • development methodologies and tools: JIRA, Stash, Confluence
  • infrastructure: Windows Server
  • database: MS-SQL, Sybase.
