Corporate Actions, Senior Associate - 3 months contract


A fantastic opportunity for you to join our Macquarie Asset Management group as a Corporate Actions Analyst on a contract basis. The Corporate Actions team is responsible for monitoring of market announcements on securities held by our Asset Management business, election of entitlements in safe custody systems as required by portfolio managers, as well as the processing of entitlements on the core accounting system, Dimension.

You will be responsible for daily corporate actions event processing functions in both the domestic and  international market and processing corporate action events. You will need to leverage your strong eye for detail as you will be responsible for the review and interpretation of all corporate actions announcements, and in turn provide communication of events to Asset and Investment Managers. This team acts on elections and notification of events to custodians while reviewing event processing to ensure correct Accounting and Tax treatment. Lastly, you will be responsible for reconciliation of entitlements resulting from corporate actions.

To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in a similar middle-office or operations role. Due to the scope of the role, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as having good knowledge of corporate actions in both domestic and international markets. You will be enthusiastic, calm and resilient under pressure. Prior system experience with Accounting platform (e.g. Dimension or Hi-Portfolio) and experience in Blackrock Aladdin would be looked upon favourably.
