Compliance Senior Manager - Fixed Income and Currencies


As part of the Macquarie Compliance team, you will work with key stakeholders of the business and actively manage, review and challenge the compliance risk framework for Commodities and Global Markets business based in ANZ.

Your responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Providing advice, support and guidance regarding compliance obligations and controls to line 1 risk teams and business stakeholders
  • Overseeing and challenge of Commodities and Global Markets Services compliance framework
  • Ensuring incidents and breaches are appropriately assessed and reported
  • Maintenance of regulatory relationships
  • Ensuring timely and accurate responses to regulator Notices and requests
  • Engaging with stakeholders in the broader Macquarie Risk Management Group.
  • Supporting processes to identify new, emerging and heightened risks

You will need extensive knowledge and experience of the Fixed Income and Currencies business, gained from a regulator, business or Compliance role as well excellent risk management and judgement capability, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.

The ability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues and develop strong relationship building and maintenance skills, ability to gain buy-in, trust and understanding, ability to influence and negotiate.

Tertiary qualification in law preferred or other business/finance related disciplines would be highly desirable.
