Business Analyst - Project Team

The Business Management and Projects team is responsible for the management and delivery of business projects across the Market operations Division (MOD) and Commodities and Global Markets (CGM).

This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a business development team supporting Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) Operations for Financial Markets.  You will utilise your analytical skills and be accountable for assigned projects including: analytics, business requirements documentation, business process design, organisational change testing and implementation. Key to success in this role will be demonstrable strong analytical skills, delivery of initiatives within scope and on time and ensuring quality objectives are achieved with high stakeholder satisfaction.

This role is a part of our global Market Operations Business Development Team and is responsible for the management and delivery of business projects across MOD and often involved with bank-wide initiatives.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Work closely with our Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology and Business teams;
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements which support the business outcomes;
  • Analyse operational impacts and facilitate solutions;
  • Effectively manage and deliver projects through project initiation, analysis & planning, design, build, test, implementation and post implementation review;
  • Ensure strong communication channels are established and maintained for all project participants;
  • Identify and resolve risks and issues impacting your project/s;
  • Plan and manage business test lifecycles from User Acceptance through to Post Implementation;
  • Manage project inter-dependencies, risks, issues, financials, and benefits realisation. 

Key Skills required for this role include:

  • Degree in business management with interest in project management or 2+ years business analyst / project management experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering small to medium projects;
  • Ability to prioritise work schedule and deliver to tight deadlines under pressure;
  • Effective communication with project stakeholders;
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders on a senior level whilst maintaining the ability to work with SME's on detail;
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple areas/disciplines;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; and
  • Desktop PC skills, including Excel.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience or knowledge of the Financial Markets and associated products;
  • Business Analyst/Project Management qualifications or a willingness to undertake the certificates.
