Business Analyst - Expressions of Interest

As part of an extensive program of regulatory driven work, we have an open role for a Technical Business Analyst. This program of work includes upgrades and expansions of the application platform capabilities and providing continual efficiency improvements to our stakeholders.

We are looking for a technical Business Analyst with investment banking technology experience and strong stakeholder management skills to work as part of a dynamic and diverse team delivering quality solutions. The team is dispersed geographically and our relationships with business partners are diverse, and therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills will be key to success in this role.

Key responsibilities of this role:

  • documentation of requirements, user cases and recording of outcomes for assigned tasks
  • co-ordination of development, test and end user resources to ensure timely delivery of assigned project tasks
  • quality assurance of development related to assigned tasks
  • reporting of progress to the team manager and project manager
  • administrative functions related to the initiation and estimation of work requests for the delivery team.

To be successful in this role we would expect you to have:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications and 2-3 years business analysis experience
  • a financial services background in investment banking or a trading systems support area
  • experience working on technical projects, with a proven track record in the successful delivery of solution designs for global technology platforms
  • a rigorous background in the full lifecycle of business analysis activities including process mapping, scope definition, requirements elicitation and definition (including user cases), functional design, data mapping, testing, implementation and user training
  • experience with regulatory reform would be favoured
  • proven track record in the delivery of solution designs of global technology platforms
  • self-starter attitude who is flexible and adaptable and can work well under pressure.
