Simulation Engineer (CFD)

Lendlease is searching for a Simulation Engineer to join one of our new digital businesses, based in Sydney.

Our team is building a technology platform that will transform and disrupt the property and construction industry. We develop products that solve real problems and deliver solutions that are feasible, viable and desirable to our customers. Our core philosophy is “digital before physical, share data not files, fully simulated and tested before manufacture and assembly (not construct)”. As a team, we are innovative, brave, and continually learning and trying new ways of doing things.’

About the Role:

As Simulation Engineer, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) you will work closely with for creating and delivering product simulations to meet the rapidly changing needs of customers and business objectives.

Embracing an agile way of working, you will produce high quality fluid and building physics simulations; developing and adapting the geometric model of a structure into mathematical models to represent the physical simulation of a building or precinct. This will involve disseminating simulation outputs through integration with the digital twin, ensuring design and modelling introduces cutting edge ways to improve efficiency and outputs.

As a subject matter expert in CFD with extremely strong communication skills, you will continue to grow and develop capabilities, participating in knowledge sharing via training, showcases, mentoring, and informal sessions.

About You:

The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling techniques, with extensive experience in wind, fire and/or HVAC engineering within the building industry. This will be accompanied by a relevant degree and/or qualification in aeronautical, civil, or mechanical engineering with a strong focus on fluid mechanics, and software knowledge in programming/scripting in an Agile/DevOps environment.

You will be a knowledgeable, passionate, forward thinker who embraces and prioritises a love of learning and continual improvement, able to work in an exciting fast-paced environment with high expectations, that is at the forefront of changing the architecture, engineering and construction industry.

Lendlease is a diverse, flexible and inclusive employer of choice. We engage, enable and empower our people. Inclusion sets all of us up for success.
