Operations Coordinator - EHS, Risk and Compliance

After a recent internal move, we’re now recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to focus on EHS, Risk and Compliance. Your key focus in this role will be to identify and monitor compliance obligations of key business, commercial and regulatory requirements of the operating businesses. You’ll also coordinate reporting on performance in key areas of compliance and risk management and support the business in the implementation of its EHS strategy. You’ll be required to work in the business and on the business – getting into the detail and getting things done at the same time as building systems and processes where none exist today.

A snapshot of the role:

  • Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing performance of contract and regulatory management plans, reporting on performance to the National Operations Manager
  • Contribute to the management of operational and commercial risk in accordance with the business risk policy, reporting to the senior leadership team on performance and assurance programs.
  • Interpret and explain contractual and regulatory requirements to a variety of stakeholders to support compliance and risk management principles to inform business decision making.
  • Contributing to ensure the business is operating in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Engaging and liaising with shared service functions (risk, compliance and EHS) across the broader business
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Be an active member of an exciting and dynamic tea.

To be successful, you’ll have a strong operational background, within the technical services or utilities industries, and with exposure to operation within a regulated or contractual environments. Having established yourself in your career already, either as an individual contributor or a manager of a team, you’ll have sound exposure to risk, compliance and/or EHS in previous positions, preferably having experience building things from scratch. You’ll be highly organised and with great attention to detail. And will join an innovative company that values its people with highest regard.
