Finance Project Analyst

As the finance project analyst, you will assist with preparing the best possible Asset Management reports for Living Utilities’ assets including coordinating the inputs across Risk, Operations, Safety and any other relevant areas. You’ll need passion and curiosity to review the data to understand the performance of the assets and explain the variances and impacts. You will then need to use this insight to identify and propose options for improvement, efficiency and value add. You’ll need to take a customer-service approach and working closely alongside the Senior Finance Manager and the Asset Analyst, you will deliver important business-improvement projects on time with just the right amount of change management. This is a new and growing area of the business so we require someone with vision of what good looks like.

We are requiring a strong understanding of financial and operational analysis principles and someone who can apply this knowledge to effectively understand and report on the operational activities of the business. Ideally CPA qualified or holding a finance or accounting degree, we are looking for solid knowledge of Excel and ideally experience using Oracle. A couple of years in asset or management accounting in an accrual accounting environment with experience of developing and presenting of financial and non-financial reports and interpretation/analysis of financial and operational reports would be ideal. Someone with demonstrated ability to form sound working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is a must. Previous success in planning and delivering process- or business-improvement projects would also be beneficial.
