Your new role
Due to increasing demands within our China-Australia business practice, we are currently seeking a Mandarin-speaking corporate lawyer to help lead and develop a China-focused legal practice.

Working alongside experts within KPMG Tax and Deal Advisory, you will assist with providing high quality corporate and commercial legal advice on significant cross-border transactions involving Chinese corporations investing in the Australian market. You will play a major role in developing professional relationships with Chinese stakeholders and leading transactions.

What you bring

Due to the unique nature of this role, and in order to best service client needs, KPMG Law is seeking lawyers who are business fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin and have the following qualifications/experience:

  • Admission to practice law in Australia and a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience from a reputable law firm;
  • Expertise in Australian corporate law including public and private M&A, joint ventures, equity capital markets, corporate restructures, foreign investment, and general corporate advisory;
  • A strong academic record and an ability to work autonomously in a fluid and dynamic team environment.
