KPMG's Restructuring Services team, within the Deals, Tax, Legal division helps clients across a diverse range of industries confronted with difficult challenges to improve and restore value. This market leading team has undergone significant growth in the last year and due to ongoing success, continue to expand. We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director or Director level professional to continue to grow our Sydney practice.

Your Opportunity

As an Assoc. Director/Director you already have a successful track record in insolvency and restructuring services working across multiple sectors. You’re now looking to join a high growth team to work with a prestigious range of clients and play a key role in developing the practice. You will:

  • Work on a range of interesting assignments which will include advisory, restructuring and insolvency services;
  • Deploy best in class data analytics tools to diagnose and design integrated solutions to deliver superior outcomes for clients;
  • Build and maintain your management experience and gain exposure to new and more complex challenges.
  • Manage a team and  identify their development needs
  • Work closely with clients as they make decisions about the future of their organisations and have real exposure to the operations of their business
  • Keep track of the financial metrics of the engagement, identifying and managing risks to ensure the Firm’s frameworks are implemented effectively;
  • Deploy your business development skills to help originate opportunities, develop proposals and pitch packs, client identification while building on internal and external relationships developed with client teams for the benefit of the Firm
  • Work with KPMG resources from across a range of divisions and work within a transactional environment alongside colleagues from Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Advisory, Transaction Services and others

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:

  • Accounting/Commerce and Business professional with extensive experience in formal insolvency, informal turnaround and restructuring advisory;
  • A strong academic background and CA or CFA qualified;
  • High proficiency in using Excel to create financial models, interpret data and generate insights;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in internal and external teams; and
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong market presence and demonstrated deal origination capability
