Accountant

Knose Pet Care


We are seeking an experienced accountant with a broad skillset including management accounting, analysis and reporting ability to join the team. The ideal candidate can perform deep analysis and prepare board reports while also being willing to reconcile bank accounts and process journals.

The role offers an opportunity to be part of an exciting growth story in a flexible, remote working environment. The role reports to the CEO and requires the candidate to be able to work autonomously.

Duties

Accounting

  • Document financial transactions by entering transactions in the accounting system (Xero)
  • Bank reconciliations (Xero)
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable data entry, reconciliation and management of expenses
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements (Xero)
  • Maintain and improve accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and reports for review by CEO
  • Prepare monthly customer accounts for settlement
  • prepare month-end close procedures

Management Accounting and Reporting

  • Analysis of sales, claims and operational data for management reporting
  • Prepare and compile monthly management accounts
