As a leading, not for profit, state-wide provider of reproductive and sexual health care, education and advocacy, Family Planning Victoria is governed by a voluntary board of directors. We have been providing comprehensive reproductive and sexual health services in Victoria for over 45 years.

About the role

Family Planning Victoria is seeking an individual with demonstrated, highly developed consultation skills, who thrives on finding solutions through consultation with internal and external stakeholders in order to inform our services and strategies.

You will be working with rich, intriguing data sets in order to inform and drive positive outcomes for the wider community in relation to reproductive and sexual health.

Skills and experience

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in data management or statistics and/or a related discipline
  • Sound ability to analyse database structure and query relational databases using Access
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience in the maintenance of a broad range of data processing documentation
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, analysis, reporting as well as supporting research and evaluation.
  • Strong IT skills including SQL, reporting software, all MS Office applications, web-based databases and the internet with a strong conceptual ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Experience in a health or education related organisation, desirable
  • Experience with VETtrak and Best Practice software, desirable

The incumbent will also be required to undertake and complete a Satisfactory National Police Check and will hold a valid Working with Children Check.

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

  • Leading identified data projects to strengthen service and data intelligence to inform decision making
  • Developing external reports for relevant government bodies
  • Producing reports for multiple levels of the organisation
  • Providing statistical analysis
  • Supporting research projects and evaluation through the provision and analysis of data
