Role Overview
Institutional

The DevOps and Environment Engineer will be part of an agile team responsible for the maintenance, availability, performance, monitoring and deployment of the entire FX technology stack in non-production environments. This role requires a deeply technical person with modern DevOps and systems platform skills to manage a complex suite of environments and DevOps tooling, supporting a large project with their environment management needs, but also looking at existing (largely manual) processes that can leverage DevOps technology to be automated.

 
Regulatory and Compliance

  • Alignment and adherence with ANZ values, governance policies, processes and standards
  • Apply a security and risk lens to all solutions and proactively call out any risks or concerns
  • Implement, and train team on secure development processes and practices

What does a 'day in the life' look like

  • Delivering applications and infrastructure across multiple non-production environments
  • Providing support of applications to resolve issues
  • Monitoring platform infrastructure performance and diagnosing application issues and performance
  • Actively work with development and QA teams to diagnose application performance in production and during development and identify areas for improvement
  • Take responsibility for a piece of work and see it through from specification into production (in collaboration with others)
  • Work closely with other teams to improve knowledge sharing and platform understanding
  • Document and provide feedback on application documentation and tickets

 
Current Projects
 

Projects such as high volume and low latency customer to bank integrations and customer API development, provide lots of challenges for an experienced DevOps engineer; working very closely with our agile teams, infrastructure and application support teams in fast paced environment to deliver new functionality, upgrades and changes to existing platform.
